Cleaning power

In wiping applications, Evolon® performance is outstanding on dirt, dust, liquids, grease and inks… in household cleaning as well as demanding industrial environments.

Evolon® microfilaments are up to 100 times thinner than a human hair, and 5 to 10 times thinner than some other microfibers. Its extremely thin microfilaments make Evolon® the most efficient technology at trapping dirt, dust and other kinds of contaminants.

Liquid absorption

Thanks to the very large internal surface area of microfilaments, Evolon® fabrics can absorb up to 400% of their own weight in water. Oil absorption is even more impressive.

No fiber release, lint-free

Unlike staple fibers, Evolon®’s microfilaments are endless, making the fabric entirely lint-free. As a consequence, Evolon® microfilament fabrics are the ideal material for contact with sensitive surfaces, protective packaging and high-tech wiping applications.

Strong, non-directional, isotropic

Evolon® microfilament fabrics are very strong and isotropic, meaning properties are similar in any direction. Good mechanical characteristics result in a fabric that will not lose its shape or uniformity, even after heavy use and multiple wash cycles.

Thanks to the unique structure of their endless microfilaments, Evolon® fabrics are ideal for durable and demanding applications. Unlike staple fibers, endless microfilaments ensure strength and dimensional stability.

Standard finishing and converting

Evolon® microfilament fabrics can be processed using traditional textile manufacturing techniques. They can be dyed, printed, finished, cut and sewn, just like any other fabrics.

With non-fraying edges, Evolon® microfilament fabrics provide the advantage of easier processing, making overstitching unnecessary.
