Anti-mite

Evolon® fabric provides a perfect protective layer against dust mite allergens.

The filtration ability of Evolon® textiles is due to the dense, compact structure of tightly entangled microfilaments. The tiny dust mite allergen particles are retained under the Evolon® layer and cannot come into contact with the allergy sufferer. No “plastic” coating and no additional chemical treatment is needed to achieve this protection.

Breathable

Evolon® microfilament fabrics are breathable, which means they are permeable to water vapor and air. This is due to the extremely fine microfilaments, which create millions of “micro” channels through which air can flow.

These microfilaments also provide superior moisture management. Both water and perspiration are absorbed by Evolon® fabrics, which then dry very quickly, wicking moisture away from the skin.

In industrial applications such as technical packaging, breathability also allows solvent residues to evaporate through Evolon® fabrics.

Fast dry

With a very large internal surface area in contact with the air, Evolon® microfilament textiles dry very quickly.

Thermal insulation

Thanks to the air contained in the microfilament structure, Evolon® textiles provide very good thermal insulation.

Unique look

Evolon® microfilament fabrics have a unique matt surface. With digital printing, Evolon® printing media display bright colors and sharp pictures.

Washable

Evolon® microfilament textiles are washable.

White textiles based on Evolon® technology can be washed many times at temperatures up to 95°C.

Washing conditions and temperatures may vary depending on the final product.

For example, bedding and anti-mite encasings made from Evolon® can generally be washed at up to 95°C.

Some finishes or specific uses of Evolon® fabrics require lower temperatures to preserve the functional features of the final product.

Strong, non-directional, isotropic

Evolon® microfilament fabrics are very strong and isotropic, meaning properties are similar in any direction. Good mechanical characteristics result in a fabric that will not lose its shape or uniformity, even after heavy use and multiple wash cycles.

Thanks to the unique structure of their endless microfilaments, Evolon® fabrics are ideal for durable and demanding applications. Unlike staple fibers, endless microfilaments ensure strength and dimensional stability.

Environmentally friendly

Evolon® microfilament textiles are long-lasting materials that help to reduce the impact of waste on our environment.

No binders, solvents or PVC are used in the manufacture of Evolon®.

A protective layer against dust mite allergens

Protection against dust mites is provided through the high-technology used to produce the Evolon® fabric.

Evolon® is made from extremely fine microfilaments that are tightly entangled by high-pressure jets of pure water. The resulting fabric is very dense and compact, which creates a true physical barrier against allergenic particles.
